Just what is the Oklahoma District of Optimist International?

We are an administrative district of Optimist international, a multinational service group aiding the youth of thousands of local communities. See more about Optimist International at www.optimist.org.

The District serves and aids Optimist Clubs in Oklahoma with their primary mission to engage in youth service projects. We provide training opportunities for leaders of local clubs. We also administer the district level of several scholarship contests for youth from local club competitions, and pass District winners on to the International Competitions. These are contests such as an Essay Contest, and an Oratorical Contest.

There are 29 clubs and nearly 1000 Optimists in Oklahoma. Collectively, we impact the lives of over 15,000 children in Oklahoma each year.

Details of our programs are available via the links within our site, or Optimist International's web site.

We encourage you to contact us if you are interested in serving the youth of Oklahoma.

Oh, we also try to live life Optimistically, by use of the Optimist Creed which you will find on the menu bar. We try to improve personally, as well as aiding the youth and communities we live in.

Join us, if you dare to improve yourself and your community.
