OUTSTANDING
MEMBER RECOGNITION
The club is required to recognize one of its members for his/her outstanding
service and dedication to Optimism. The member is to be honored before
the other members of the club during a regular or special meeting. The
club may wish to present, but is not limited to, one of the following
options: a Life Membership, an International President’s Recognition
Award, President’s Citation or an Optimist of the Year Award. The club
is responsible for designing their exclusive recognition program. To
fulfill the Honor Club requirements, the club must certify that this
accolade was completed by remitting the "Award Certification Document"
(available through the Recognitions Department) signed by both the President
of the club and a District Officer (Lt. Governor or Governor). The signed
Award Certification Document must be sent to the Recognitions Department,
postmarked no later than September 30, 2001.
All dates refer
to the 2006-2007 administrative year, which runs from October 1, 2006

Any reference to postmarked materials requires a postmark from an
official postal office.

which are sent to the district for presentation. In addition the Honor
Club President will receive an Honor President lapel pin.
