The location will be the Saddleback Inn and Conference Center in Oklahoma City. Don Crall, District Governor Designate (until October 1) is looking forward to a great year and working with all the clubs to help grow the District, and serve more youth in Oklahoma.
Special District Convention Called:
A special Convention of District Delegates will be held on October 10, 2009, at the Saddleback Inn and Conference Center, beginning at 10:00am. The purpose of the assembly is to elect a Governor Elect for the new Optimist Year 2009-2010. This special convention has been approved by the International Board of Directors pursuant to the International Bylaws. Clubs should plan on sending a delegate to vote on this important matter.
Here are the Details:
Registration Cost: $40.00 for Member, but if you are a first-timer, it is discounted to $25.00. That includes Saturday Lunch, and all the coffee and tea for the various meetings and training sessions. The Dinners will be dutch, at the Hotel. It's just too hard for us to plan on things for dinners--we'll go through the buffet line and have our own room, though.
