Third Quarter Conference Highlights!

Governor Tim Pate, Sr., hosted the District Third-Quarter Conference in Claremore this May 1st and 2nd. The highlights:

The District Essay Contest Winners were announced:

• First Place--Rachel Weaver, sponsored by the Optimist Club of Pryor Creek,
• Second Place--Kori Hughes, sponsored by the Lawton LaSill Optimist Club; and
• Third Place--Cassandra Filip, sponsored by the Chickasha Optimist Club.

Rachel was on hand to read her essay and accept her Award from District Essay Contest Chair, Teri Hill:

The Conference also featured the Annual District Oratorical Contest, with 16 Contestants. Shown below are all the contestants, immediately after the contest concluded.

And the Oratorical Contest winners were:

First Place Girl, Megan Eissenstat, with Gov. Pate. Megan was sponsored by the Lawton Eastside Optimist Club.

First Place Boy, Jack Cieminski, with Gov. Pate. Jack was sponsored by the Chickasha Optimst Club.
